Yelp had a nice event on Monday evening at newly opened Broadway East. It was to kick off Yelp’s BEautiful Week from March 9-15 at participating spas. I didn’t end up ever booking anything (oooops) so oh well.

They were featuring an interesting cocktail using VeeV’s Acai Spirit, with the idea being they’ll sell it there as an “eco-friendly” offering on a regular basis with a tree being planted everytime someone gets the Teetrini cocktail. Cute concept, but the drink kind of tasted like liquid gummy bears. Meh. Not a huge fan.

What does an “Acai spirit” taste like?

It was odd. Kind of like a subtle fruity sweet something-or-other, but definitely nothing distinct. Very odd
